Essence of series out there. Tipps for what to watch and much more

CHAOS

CBS presents this new comedy drama procedural. Rogue CIA operatives succeed in their special operations around the globe despite incompetence and political infighting at the home office. (taken from here)

It’s the Pentagons answer to Wikileaks one could think. The last CIA Team that can do what they want. And of course they only do good things. One episode is about a CIA operative who got fed up with the low salary and sold unimportant secrets to others. (reminds you of something?)

With that in mind it is a classic spy story. Young “new guy” gets punked and is after that a team member. There are quite some similarities  to Burn Notice and I promise we will see some “burned” action.

I could not help but noticing that all the actors are tiny and the tough guy is kind of a joke.

But despite it’s flaws it is still worthy of watching … and I forgot something … it is with  James Murray.

White Collar

white_collar-show

This is a new show that is slated to begin on Oct. 23 on USA at 10 PM. It is about a convicted white-collar criminal who winds up working for the FBI man who caught him. To stay out of prison, Neal offers to help the FBI capture other white-collar criminals using his expertise. (taken from here)

I just finished watching the pilot of this new show and was surprised. I found it to be quite pleasing. Again a show that gives us what we always wanted … a criminal mastermind and a FBI superhero working together to capture other criminals. Great pilot and I think high potential for a long series.

But is it just me or are the “good” criminals always looking and acting alike. Charming, art liking, smart etc….  They wouldn’t have any problem making money at all ….. but I think it’s just me 😉

Burn Notice

Michael Westen receives a “burn notice” while on assignment in Nigeria. Dumped in his Miami hometown with no money or resources to his name, Michael works as a freelance spy/private investigator to fund his investigation into who burned him and why.
Burn Notice is produced by FOX Television Studios in association with Fuse Entertainment and filmed on location in Miami. (taken from here)

Ever wondered how a spy gets fired? In Burn Notice you can  see how and what a spy does against that. (Building a fake Letter Bomb to get in touch with his superiors)

I just finished the first episode and I it looks like a lot of fun.

Chuck

chuckThe O.C. creator Josh Schwartz and director McG (We Are Marshall) bring us Chuck, a new series laced with humor about young twenty-something spies.Zachary Levi (Less Than Perfect) plays Chuck Bartowski, a nerdy computer tech who has a database of government secrets downloaded into his brain. Chuck soon finds himself recruited by John Casey (Adam Baldwin), a veteran NSA Agent, for espionage work with his new partner (and first date in 10 years) Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) – leading Chuck to live a split life of computer geek and secret NSA missions. (taken from here)

Ok ok, you are probably saying …. that is geeky …. and you might be right. It is also quite obvious nearly all the time. You kind off know what’s going to happen … but despite that Chuck is fun.  Chuck (Zachary Levi) plays the role of the innocent not knowing anything guy perfectly. And it is humerus to watch him fail all the time and …… man Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) is smokin’ hot like a volcano if you know what I mean 😉
