Better Off Ted

BOTTed Crisp loves his job. He works for the team at Veridian Dynamics, where nothing is too far-fetched, or out of the ordinary. An average day for Ted could easily involve creating a suicidal turkey, for instance. The only problem is, Ted is ethical and the company is not. The show is being produced by 20th Century Fox Television and ABC Studios. (taken from here)

Here’s your treat. I just stumbled over that show and I think it’s great. It combines elements of Eureka (but in a present not futuristic Way) and Eli Stone (without the religion).  You have the big bad company, the mean and cold blooded but in a way funny boss, the geeky scientists and the perfect son Ted who bases his consciousness sole on his little doughter. The Episodes are realy short and that’s the beauty.

The video is a Veridion Commercial 🙂

How I Met Your Mother

How I Met Your Mother

How I Met Your Mother is a comedy about Ted (Josh Radnor) and how he fell in love. It all starts when Ted’s best friend, Marshall (Jason Segel), drops the bombshell that he’s going to propose to his long-time girlfriend, Lily (Alyson Hannigan), a kindergarten teacher. At that moment, Ted realizes that he had better get a move on if he too hopes to find true love. Helping him in his quest is Barney (Neil Patrick Harris), a friend with endless, sometimes outrageous opinions, a penchant for suits and a foolproof way to meet women. When Ted meets Robin (Cobie Smulders), he’s sure it’s love at first sight, but destiny may have something else in store. The series is narrated through flashbacks from the future. (taken from here)

Why you should have a look:

If you liked Friends, you will like that series for sure. The story is quite complex and  the roles are way better arranged. The fun comes through Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) who is constantly trying to get it popping, if you know what I mean. Also Eliot (Sarah Chalke) from Scrubs is appearing besides others in guest roles.

A nice impression of Barney can be found here:

Maybe a Stinson style video resume would suit me. I should try it out soometime.

So have a look and I’m sure you’ll like it.

Please comment on it….
