It’s New York in the 1960s, and the men and women who work at the Sterling Cooper Advertising Agency are some of the top names in the industry. Master manipulator and leading ad man Don Draper is at the top of his game, but there are those who want to see him topple down. Can he maintain his formidable status? Writer and executive producer Matthew Weiner of The Sopranos fame is the man behind this 13-episode original series on AMC. (taken from here)

You probably have seen so many trends from the past being reinvented today like hats, leggings (*oh why*), music and much more. So it’s only trendy to create a series that plays in the old time. And it’s smart too because you can do advertising as hell (i.e. for cigarettes (Lucky Strike) and everybody smokes) and use a more or less obvious Alias Sterling Cooper to promote those Ad companies. Really great job. You should give it a try if you are into the style. I like the mood but sometimes it’s quite boring when they are not at the office. So check out the first 2 episodes and decide because they all are kind of similar, which is not necessarily bad. It’s a summer hole series.
